Mufti Mohammad Sultan Qamar Qasmi is a renowned Islamic scholar, teacher, author, and a dedicated educator.
He graduated from Darul Uloom Deoband, one of the most prominent and historic Islamic institutions of the Indian subcontinent, where he studied the Qur’an, Hadith, Seerah, Islamic history, Arabic language/literature, and Islamic jurisprudence. He also completed specialized studies in Arabic Language and Literature (Takhassus fi al-Lughah al-Arabiyyah) as well as advanced studies in Fiqh and Islamic Fatwa. Alongside his traditional Islamic education, he has also obtained qualifications in various fields of contemporary education.
He has several years of teaching experience at different universities, madrasas, and educational institutions. His areas of teaching include Islamic Studies, Islamic Creed (Aqidah), Qur’anic Tafsir, Hadith, Seerah, Arabic Language and Literature. A significant part of his academic and educational efforts is focused on connecting the younger generation with authentic Islamic knowledge, developing Islamic awareness, and enabling students to understand the Qur’an and Sunnah.
He also writes academic and research articles on various religious and contemporary subjects. Among his scholarly works is an Arabic book titled “Al-Shaykh Ashraf Ali al-Thanawi wa Juhuduhu fi Islah al-Mujtama‘”, which discusses the scholarly and reformative efforts of Shaykh Ashraf Ali Thanawi in the field of social reform.
He is also engaged in religious services including public speaking, Islamic lectures, Tafsir of the Qur’an, and Hadith lessons. He continues to dedicate himself to providing religious education to young people, teaching the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and helping students develop proficiency in the Arabic language.
Special attention is also given to the teaching of the Arabic language, enabling students and young people to develop the essential linguistic skills required to understand the Qur’an and Hadith and to gain a deeper appreciation of Arabic language and literature.
